LED LIFE EXPECTANCY FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ADVERTISING SCREENS
A LEDs lifespan can range from 80,000 to about 120,000 hours, depending on its materials and manufacturers.
These estimates are made based on optimal conditions, the harsher the use, the less you can expect the LEDs to last.
BRIGHTNESS LOSS IN LED SCREENS
Like any light-generating product, LEDs suffer from wear the more they are used. Although its wear is progressive and less evident than other conventional lighting systems, the wear will always be there; as such it’s something to keep in mind when scheduling maintenance, repair or when deciding to replace LED panels or modules.
TEMPERATURE – LUMINOSITY AND LED LIFE EXPECTANCY
A significant factor that influences the life expectancy of a LED system is the operating temperature of the LED. The higher the temperature, the greater the wear, and the less you can expect a LED to last. That is why it is important for LED system electronics to be optimized and well designed, to ensure that the LED works in optimal conditions. Programming a LED with parameters that are more demanding than its recommended brightness range will increase its temperature and reduce its lifespan.
WHAT INFLUENCE DOES BRIGHTNESS HAVE IN THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF A LED?
Another source of wear to keep in mind is the operating current. Usually, most LEDs works at 350mA. A greater current causes the luminous efficiency to increase considerably, but at the cost of their life expectancy. In other words, a higher current shortens the lifespan of the product. Therefore, to optimize the lifespan of LED systems, it is important to manage the brightness with care and not increase the electrical current beyond the recommended values to obtain a greater degree of brightness.OBSOLETO - Eliminar SHORTCODE
